The association is managed by a yearly selected board

The association supports and develops social psychiatric rehabilitation in Jyvaskyla region. The functions of the association complement the public mental health care services, when client-oriented, experimental solutions and across the borders of different organisations functioning solutions and solutions supporting mental rehabilitation are needed.

In 1984 the association founded the Psychiatric Day Centre in Vaasankatu 3 in Jyväskylä town. Its functions soon became a regular part of rehabilitants' lives and is presently a part of the adult psychiatric rehabilitation functions in the town of Jyväskylä.

Participating in the activities is free of charge.

In 1999 the association founded Suvimäki Clubhouse on Taulumäki in Jyväskylä town. It is open for mental rehabilitants and it follows the international Fountain House model. The clubhouse offers its members holistic rehabilitation, the core of which is working within the limits of one's mental and physical condition. Via the clubhouse the paths to working life are looked for.

The association is open for everyone and all organisations and communities interested in social psychiatric rehabilitation and developing of alternatives to rehabilitants.

The association is financed by the Finnish Slot Machine Association, but it needs to get donations and other concrete support. Via the association you can have influence. Ask more and join in!
